The Colleyville Lions Club sponsors major events as well as on-going charitable activities year around. Scholarships are awarded in April and the xSIGHTment Run kicks in during June. These are followed by the Hole in One Shoot-out in September (rain or shine) and to cap it off, Breakfast with Santa closes the year with a ton of pancakes in December. In addition the Lions collect used eyeglasses year
around for the Recycle for Sight program.
The club offers the opportunity to become involved with civic and community work, as well as, enjoy informative and entertaining fellowship and programs every week!
Following is a brief overview the major Colleyville Lions programs:
Colleyville Lions xSIGHTment Run
The annual
Colleyville Lions Club xSIGHTment Run is typically held the first week in June. This event is to
benefit local and national charities who help the many people afflicted
with
eyesight difficulties.
In 2010 we are introduced, for the first time, a Team Competition
for the largest team entered. All Sponsors receive complimentary run entries
(2 free entries for $250 donation, 5 for $500, 10 for $1000 and 25 for
$2500)
Check out the xSIGHTment Run Page on this site to see a full description of
our event, complete with online registration or a brochure and entry
form you
can print and mail in.
We hope to see you there!
Colleyville Lions Hole in One Shoot-Out
We invite you to become a sponsor of this fantastic Community Event held in mid-September at Bob Moore’s Sports Center and Driving Range: Hwy 26, Colleyville. The Grand Prize offered last year was $75,000 In Cash for a Hole in One during the final shoot-out.
The format involves 3 individual qualifiers (based on getting closest to the hole) for each of the three days. Each qualifier is guaranteed a package of prizes. The 9 qualifiers return on Sunday at 6:00PM for the finals and the chance to win the grand prize!
All proceeds go to Lions Club Charities with the majority going to fund scholarships for Northeast Tarrant County’s Outstanding Students who need additional funding to attend college and the Texas Lions Camp for disabled and diabetic children.
